How
does the admissions process work? |
 |
While
children who are siblings or legacies
are given priority in admissions, NSNS
welcomes many new families to our community
each year. Our goal is to build a learning
community that supports our values,
teaching philosophy, program structure
and commitment to school life. We strive
to educate parents about our programs
and provide them with helpful information
as they explore options for their child’s
early childhood education.
NSNS does not discriminate in providing
services to children or their families
on the basis of race, religion, cultural
heritage, national origin, marital status,
political beliefs, disability or sexual
orientation.
Applications and Parent Meetings
Applications for admission are accepted
with a non-refundable fee of $50 per
child. The deadline for applications
is December 31st of the school year

How
many children do you enroll each year? |
 |
Each
year we admit 12 children to the Toddler
Class and at least 6 to the Younger
Class. We also admit children into the
Older Class each year and encourage
new families to join us for this important
year before Kindergarten. Families are
notified of their enrollment status
beginning in January. If the school
is unable to offer an enrollment contract
due to the number of applicants, the
child will be placed on a wait list.
Families who are not initially offered
a space will remain on the waitlist
unless they request to be removed. Children
from the waitlist will be admitted whenever
a space becomes available. |
|
|
 |
When
will I find out if my child has been
admitted? |
 |
Applicants
to the Toddler and Younger Classes will
be notified of acceptance starting in
January. Offers of acceptance to the
Older Class are extended in March. We
request a completed enrollment form
and a non-refundable $750 deposit at
the time of enrollment. (This deposit
will be applied to your tuition payment). |
